Executive Bios:

 

Deborah Ward, CEO
In the early 80’s Debbie founded TMS, a Pacific Bell Joint User in Southern California. With a need to serve customers outside the Pacific Bell territory, Debbie established TSI in 1999 reselling CLEC and long distance services nationwide. For over 20 years, Debbie has successfully provided executive management by delivering communication products and services to thousands of business and wholesale customers throughout the United States. In her role as CEO, Debbie is responsible for the company’s profit and loss, guides the company’s long term strategy, as well as day to high level management of sales, marketing and vendor management. Debbie participates regularly on industry webinars, trade association panels and executive committee forums. She is currently a regular contributor to various groups devoted to the promotion of females in executive leadership positions. Debbie is one of only a handful of female CEOs in this highly competitive telecommunications space, and is highly regarded by her peers, devoted employees and valued customers.

 

Stanley R. Hughey, Vice President of Operations
Stan has been with TSI for over 10 years, joining in September of 1998 and currently serves as Vice President of Operations.

He began his career in the United States Navy and State Department in the field of civil engineering and construction management. In 1988 he launched his career in the telecommunications industry and over the course of the next two decades managed and directed customer service, provisioning and switching operations as well as the construction of both enterprise and carrier grade switch sites and data centers in Southern California and Las Vegas.

In addition to being published in industry periodicals, Stan has also consulted on the internal design and directed the implementation of the telecommunications infrastructures of several enterprises including the Archstone-Smith Real Estate Investment Trust properties, FAA Federal Credit Union and the Robinson Ranch Golf and Country Club designed by the late Ted Robinson and son. 

 

Michael Ross, Vice President of Finance
Michael joined the TSI executive team in February 2008 as the Vice President of Finance. He has 17 years of executive level financial experience most recently as the Corporate Controller at Cohr Holdings Inc-Masterplan, a $170MM medical equipment service provider and parts distributor for 3 years where he assisted in engineering two acquisitions totaling approximately $380MM. Prior to that, he was the Corporate Controller of Public Communications Services Inc. for 5 years, a $65MM telecommunications operator service provider to the corrections facility industry. Additionally, Michael has IPO and international finance experience during his 7 years in the software industry. Michael holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelors degree from California State University, Northridge.

 

Todd Ward, Vice President of Sales
Todd Ward joined TSI as VP, Carrier Sales in April 2009 and is responsible for the company's wholesale partnerships which include sales and supply as it relates to reciprocal carrier relationships. Prior to TSI, Todd served as VP Sales for Alliance Group. Before Alliance, for over 3 years, Todd served as Director of Sales for ANI Networks where, as part of the initial management team, he was instrumental in the unprecedented growth of the company from a well funded startup to a mature, successful, profitable, wholesale entity. Todd began his Telecom career in 1990 with Cable & Wireless. Over a 20 year career, he served in various sales and executive sales management positions with Metromedia/LDDS/Worldcom, LCI/Qwest, Teleglobe, France Telecom, Callipso/Point One, and Arbinet.

Todd earned a Bachelor of Administration in Marketing from Georgia College and State University where he was chosen as member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, was an Academic All American Baseball as well as playing minor league professional baseball.

 

Peter Kositarut, Director of Billing Services
Peter manages the Billing and Revenue Assurance department. He joined TSI in July of 2001 where he leveraged his prior telecom experience and developed the company’s billing and call rating systems.

In 1985, Peter established an Online Computer System in Laguna Hills. It was used in the manufacture of small business computer systems for call and answering centers and Telecom Billing Systems. In 1982 He joined forces with a group of telecommunication executives from GTE and PacBell. Together, they established a company to design and manufacture the “telephone of the future” computer system. It integrated telephone and computer technology together to create voice routing with database access used for call centers and multi location cooperative offices.

In 1978, after working at general and cost accounting at various manufacturing companies, Peter established Continental Computer Systems in Irvine California, designing and manufacturing small business computer systems. Peter holds a Bachelors of Science degree from California State University at Long Beach.

 

Vicki Nelson, Customer Service Manager
Vicki joined TSI in June of 2001.  She brought to TSI many years of customer service and experience in the Telecom industry. She has proved to be a valuable asset to the team.

Vicki’s always worked in a customer contact position. She started her career as a Sales Representative, and for a short time held the position of Customer Service Representative.

Vicki’s career in Telecom began in 1996 starting at Alert Communications as a Senior Operations Supervisor until joining TSI as a Customer Service Representative. Vicki was instrumental in working with a large TSI account in establishing processes and coordination of 100 store openings across the country.

Utilizing Vicki’s experience, background and training Vicki leads our Customer Service Department.

Vicki holds an Associate of Art Degree and is working on a BA degree from Cal State Northridge.

 

Ted Zavala, Network Operations Manager
Ted joined TSI in November of 2004.  His career started in the Telecom Industry after completing his schooling at the National Institute of Technology, he received a Diploma for the Digital Telecommunications Technology Program. He has been certified with: Digital Telecom Meridian Norstar and Meridian SL-1, BICSI Apprentice, 3M SC & ST Fiber Termination, Fujitsu OC-3 Sonet, Cisco Router Fundamentals, Lucent Fiber Training & Homacco Rack Installation.

At the completion of his schooling, Cable and Wireless offered Ted the opportunity to apply what he had learned in their technical support department.

Since his arrival at TSI, Ted has proven his value and expertise in building our switch site, assisting customers with installations and helping to trouble shoot as needed.  Ted has recently been promoted to “Network Operations Manager”.  Ted’s dedication and commitment earned him employee of the year for 2007.

 

Wayne Scott, Senior Network Engineer
Wayne joined TSI in November of 2006 and provides support to our NOC personnel, as well as engineering new services and hardware.  Wayne oversees the companies Switching equipment and network hardware.

Wayne began in Telecom in 1987 with TCS, an interconnect company then in Canoga Park.  He has installed, maintained and supported nearly every brand of telecommunication equipment including Northern Telecom, Mitel, Toshiba, AT&T.   He has solid field experience troubleshooting high speed digital as well as traditional POTS service. 

In 1992, Wayne started in supervisory roles overseeing installation and cabling of new buildings and telephone equipment.  He has been involved in setting up LAN and WAN networks including Windows, UNIX, and Novell servers.
